Christmas at the Assembly House

MyriadLifePhotoArt get to visit some lovely places with all the fairs we visit but very few are as glamorous and atmospheric as the Assembly House Norwich Christmas Fair on 26/27 November.

The sheer thought of this event gives me a little buzz in my stomach!

I love everything about it, outside and inside the whole place and event is the true beginning of Christmas for me.  The glittering decorations that tastefully festoon the exterior of this historic and beautiful Norwich building, the sparkling chandeliers inside, the delicious aromas permeating from the restaurant, the excited murmurs of people as they enter, ready to find gifts and enjoy themselves doing it.

Every year there is a choir or festive music of some kind wafting up to the high ceilings with dignitaries of times gone by looking down from oil paintings.

The rooms are full of talented local makers with beautifully decorated stalls and the variety and quality of the items offered is always excellent.  Always something new to see and enjoy.

The only trouble is (and it's not really trouble) is that this is the time when you will see things you want to buy for yourself when we are all supposed to be thinking of what to give others!  So take some extra cash to treat yourself..

We've been attending this Christmas Fair for around five years now and I can't wait to be there again.  You'll find MyriadLifePhotoArt in the large Music Room, we are first on the right as you enter, next to the bar (obviously they know me.. ;)

Hope to see you there, come say hello!
